BLACK HILLS SPEEDWAY

THE REBUILD 2008

In case you haven't heard, Billy and Amy Keester are the newly appointed promoters of Black Hills Speedway for the 2008 season. There ambitious plans include the removal of the 3/8 mile oval and bringing the big ol' 1/2 mile back to life. This page is being designed to chronicle the daunting task that is to take place in just a few weeks.

The first wave photos show a pleasant sunny evening, with a ton of dirt work completed to make the task reality. Unfortunately, a half week of unrelenting rain has temporarily derailed the project, pushing the opening date into June. Click here to view the first installment of photos of this incredible untaking.

I have a few more images of the progess being made at the track located here. Plans are for a test-n-tune this Thursday night (June 5), should Mother Nature be inclined to take a night off.
